Koin Payments

Koin Payments partnered with Render Impact to create a high-impact, 3D anamorphic video designed for a massive LED wall at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas during the Global Gaming Expo. The goal was clear: stop expo attendees in their tracks and communicate Koin’s cashless gaming platform through a bold, cinematic visual experience.

This was a fast-moving project with a tight turnaround, requiring rapid concepting, production, and iteration while maintaining a premium visual standard.

The Opportunity

The installation environment presented both scale and complexity. The LED wall measured over 47 feet wide, with a resolution of 9216 x 2160, creating a wide canvas that demanded purposeful composition and strong depth design.

Koin’s audience is deeply familiar with casino environments, which raised the creative bar. A standard casino visual would not capture attention. The content needed to feel elevated, cinematic, and distinctly different from the surrounding noise.

At the same time, the client emphasized:

→ The experience must feel bold and high-energy

→ The opening moments must immediately capture attention

→ The environment should reflect a premium, resort-style casino

→ The brand reveal should feel powerful and memorable

The Solution

Render Impact developed a fully immersive, anamorphic 3D casino environment designed specifically for the scale and proportions of the LED wall.

Rather than relying on a literal representation of a casino floor, the team crafted a stylized, upscale environment with strong depth, lighting, and atmosphere. The scene was intentionally designed to guide the viewer’s eye toward a central moment: the Koin brand reveal.

Key creative decisions included:

→ A cinematic grayscale-to-color transition to build anticipation

→ A refined, luxury-inspired casino environment with reduced visual clutter

→ Strategic lighting, fog, and atmospheric effects to create mood and depth

→ A custom 3D logo animation engineered to “break out” of the screen

The animation sequence was carefully timed to maximize impact within a short runtime. The experience builds tension, then releases it through a high-energy logo moment supported by shockwave effects and lighting bursts.

The Anamorphic Effect

To achieve a convincing 3D illusion at this scale, the content was designed with precise forced perspective and spatial alignment to the physical screen.

A subtle but critical design element was the use of framing and foreground layering. While minimal, this structure provided the necessary visual reference points to sell the illusion of depth and allow the Koin logo to appear to extend beyond the screen plane.

This approach ensured the “pop-out” moment landed with maximum clarity and impact, even in a large, visually busy casino environment.

Execution

Given the accelerated timeline, the project required tight collaboration between creative, production, and client teams.

The workflow included:

→ Rapid environment development and style frame iteration

→ Real-time feedback integration to refine tone, lighting, and composition

→ Hybrid production techniques combining 3D rendering and post-production effects

→ Optimization for LED playback, including encoding and performance considerations

Despite evolving creative direction and multiple rounds of feedback, the team maintained momentum and delivered a polished final piece on schedule.

The Result

The final content delivers a bold, cinematic experience that elevates the Koin brand and stands apart in a highly competitive visual environment.

The combination of scale, motion, and 3D illusion creates a memorable moment for viewers, reinforcing Koin’s positioning as an innovative, forward-thinking solution in the gaming space.

Key Takeaways

→ Large-scale LED environments require intentional composition and depth strategy

→ Anamorphic content is most effective when paired with strong storytelling and timing

→ Simplifying the environment can increase clarity and impact

→ Early seconds are critical for capturing attention in high-traffic venues

→ Collaboration and speed are essential for success on tight timelines
