West Walk

At the heart of West Walk, a high-end commercial destination in Doha, Qatar, sits a pair of massive ceiling-mounted digital displays that act like a window into another world. To make the most of the 8K+ canvas, we created a five-minute undersea loop that feels alive, dimensional, and architecturally integrated.

THE CONCEPT

West Walk needed content that blended seamlessly with its upscale environment, all while delivering a moment of wonder. The solution? A slow-moving underwater journey that bridges the physical corner and stretches across the ceiling. This digital decor (aka techorating) was a transportive experience.

THE DESIGN

The environment opens on a coral tunnel that appears to wrap through the ceiling. From there, schools of fish, a manta ray, sea turtles, and a shark drift through, weaving in and out of frame.  Smooth and deliberate motion creates a calming experience for viewers. Lighting shifts subtly as bubbles rise and caustics ripple across the screen. A seamless loop ensures the environment never breaks its relaxed rhythm.

WHY THIS WORKS

This content elevates the plaza by never overwhelming it. At night, these screens completely illuminate the outdoor environment. A more bombastic approach would work against the calmness our client desired for the space. The pacing, detail, and realism are fine-tuned to match the surrounding architecture to reinforce that calm, while remaining unforgettable.
