Resorts World New York City Casino

Resorts World New York City is NYC’s only casino, a high-energy gaming and entertainment destination where every guest touchpoint matters. When the property upgraded its digital experience in the Times Square Casino, one of several gaming areas in the sprawling property, the opportunity was bigger than filling screens. It was a chance to turn a busy casino floor into an immersive visual experience—with a flexible digital environment built for spectacle, atmosphere, and repeat engagement.

Render Impact created a custom, dynamic content system designed specifically for the architecturally-integrated LED displays. The overhead display became the hero canvas, using scale, motion, and perspective to pull guests into each story. The six circular column wraps extended those worlds downward, adding surrounding detail, environmental motion, and visual continuity throughout the space.

The result is a content platform that can shift from awe-inspiring cinematic show moments to elegant ambient loops, seasonal takeovers, holiday celebrations, gaming animations and branded transitions without feeling disconnected from the property experience.

The Displays

The installation includes one long 50-foot overhead LED display and six circular column wraps positioned throughout the gaming floor.

Because the content plays in an active casino environment, every piece needed to balance visual impact with guest comfort. The ceiling was used for the biggest reveals and strongest perspective moments. The columns supported each world at eye level, giving guests an immersive environment without competing with gameplay or overwhelming the aisle.

That strategy gave Resorts World New York City a connected content ecosystem, not just a collection of individual videos.

Subway to Skyline

Subway to Skyline connects the installation directly to New York City.

The experience begins inside a NYC subway-inspired environment and transitions into a series of city reveals. The ceiling is used for upward-looking moments, including station interiors, open sky, skyline views, and iconic New York perspectives.

The columns act as subway windows and platform views, showing motion, signage, station environments, and city storytelling. As the journey progresses, the screens work together to move guests from below ground to above the skyline.

This concept is especially effective because it belongs to the location. It gives Resorts World New York City a visual centerpiece that feels specific, recognizable, and tied to the energy of the city.

Undersea Fantasy

Undersea Fantasy turns the ceiling into a calm ocean world filled with depth, light, and slow-moving marine life. The overhead display carries the larger cinematic moments, including graceful hero animals passing above the aisle and creating the feeling of standing beneath the water’s surface.

The column wraps extend the ocean environment downward with coral reef details, tropical fish, bubbles, and shifting light. The columns make the world feel close and surrounding, while the ceiling provides the sense of scale.

This piece works because it is immersive without being aggressive. The motion is gentle, the palette is soothing, and the hero moments create a memorable look-up experience that still respects the pace of the gaming floor.

Dancing Dragon

Dancing Dragon Hidden Tiger transforms the aisle into a ceremonial journey through an ancient Chinese city. The ceiling becomes the sky and spirit realm, where a dragon moves through atmosphere, clouds, and lantern light.

The columns ground the environment with architectural details, lanterns, and scenic depth. They give guests the feeling of moving through the city while the dragon remains the central overhead spectacle.

This content piece is dramatic, premium, and elegant. It uses the ceiling for scale and wonder, while the columns create place, warmth, and cultural atmosphere.

High Stakes Drop

High Stakes Drop is built around a simple, instantly readable casino moment: a plane passes overhead and casino chips fall from the sky.

What makes this piece unique is the direct connection between the ceiling and the columns. The forced-perspective action begins overhead, then continues down the pillars as the sky, clouds, falling chips, and surrounding atmosphere move together across the full display system.

With JFK Airport located next door, aviation became a natural source of inspiration for the piece. We treated the LED displays as windows to the outside, where guests might catch a glimpse of planes taking off and landing overhead, then added a playful casino twist with chips parachuting down into the space.

The result is playful, easy to understand, and highly shareable. Guests can look up, immediately follow the action through the space, and feel the energy without needing any explanation.

Tropical Canopy

Tropical Canopy transforms the overhead display into a lush jungle canopy with oversized leaves, flowers, filtered sunlight, and a scarlet macaw as the hero.

The ceiling creates the feeling of looking up into a living canopy. The columns continue the environment downward with foliage, flowers, and natural motion, surrounding the aisle in color and texture.

This piece brings warmth and vibrancy to the gaming floor while staying approachable and comfortable. It feels bright, natural, and immersive without becoming visually exhausting.

The concept also connects to Genting’s roots in Malaysia, a country known for its lush tropical rainforests and extraordinary biodiversity. We drew inspiration from that natural landscape to create an experience that feels both transportive and meaningful to the larger Resorts World story.

Luminous Drift

Luminous Drift creates a glowing underwater atmosphere built around bioluminescent jellyfish.

The ceiling becomes a calm, otherworldly canopy where translucent forms drift overhead with soft color and graceful motion. The columns support the experience with vertical currents of light, particles, and matching underwater movement.

This is one of the most atmospheric pieces in the content package. It gives the property a beautiful ambient loop that can play for longer dwell times while still feeling premium and intentional.

Neon Icons

Neon Icons gives the overall visual series a brighter, more graphic ambient option.

The ceiling carries a dynamic field of glowing iconography and casino-inspired energy. The columns continue the motion vertically, surrounding guests with color and rhythm while keeping the overall system synchronized.

This piece gives Resorts World New York City an energetic loop that supports the excitement of the casino floor. It feels lively and modern without becoming chaotic.

Jackpot Celebration

Jackpot Celebration transforms the full display system into a high-energy casino win moment that feels immediate, celebratory, and connected to the gaming floor.

On the overhead display, a forced-perspective gold frame creates the illusion of an opening above the aisle. Fireworks burst in the distance as $100 bills fall toward the guests below, while flashes of gold and red reinforce the Resorts World brand palette.

The column wraps bring the celebration to eye level with gold-framed photos of recent jackpot winners and dimensional jackpot lettering positioned between each image. Falling cash continues from the ceiling onto the columns, visually connecting both display formats and allowing the content to read as one coordinated experience.

By combining recognizable casino imagery, recent winner photography, and a strong connection between the ceiling and columns, Jackpot Celebration gives Resorts World New York City a flexible way to recognize winners and bring added energy to the gaming floor.

Liquid Metal Spheres

Liquid Metal Spheres uses reflective motion, liquid surfaces, and polished abstraction to create a sleek ambient experience.

The ceiling becomes a dimensional surface where metallic forms and ripple-like movement create a refined, futuristic look. The columns extend that reflective language vertically, helping the full installation read as one connected visual system.

This piece adds a sophisticated, high-end material quality to the content package. It is not narrative in the same way as the show pieces, but it gives the property a flexible visual mode that feels elegant, modern, and upscale.

Beaded Reflective Strands

Beaded Reflective Strands brings a chandelier-like quality to the LED architecture.

The ceiling becomes a deep reflective space filled with suspended strands, beads, highlights, and soft movement. The columns continue the vertical strand language around the aisle, making the piece feel more physical and architectural.

The strength of this concept is its restraint. It does not need to be loud to feel luxurious. Subtle motion, glints of light, and reflective detail create a polished ambient experience that feels appropriate for long-term use on the gaming floor.

Winter Wonderland (Winter Snowglobes)

Winter Wonderland transforms the display system into a dimensional seasonal environment inspired by a classic storybook snow globe.

On the overhead display, a large glass dome extends into the distance, creating the appearance of an expansive skylight above the gaming floor. A forced-perspective architectural frame connects the virtual scene to the surrounding space, helping the illusion feel built into the room rather than placed on top of it.

The column wraps feature rotating winter scenes with a distant city skyline, snow-covered ground, and a series of playful hero elements. These include a snowman, the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, an ice skater, and a stack of oversized holiday ornaments.

Together, the ceiling and columns create a polished winter takeover that combines recognizable New York imagery with festive seasonal storytelling. The result feels imaginative, welcoming, and custom-designed for the full LED installation.

Happy New Year (Neon Toast)

Neon Toast brings a bold, graphic energy to the display system with a New Year’s celebration designed for both the overhead ceiling and column wraps.

At the center of the overhead display, a rotating disco ball casts light across a dark blue environment filled with graphic star icons. Neon illustrations of a champagne bottle, martini glass, party popper, and clinking champagne glasses animate throughout the scene, creating an abstract night-sky celebration with constant movement and visual variety.

The column wraps extend the same neon language to eye level. A line-art rainbow skyline of New York City anchors the base of each scene, while neon icons and fireworks fill the sky above. Animated messages including “Happy New Year,” “Time to Party,” “New Years,” and “Cheers” add clear celebratory moments across the installation.

Together, the ceiling and columns create a lively seasonal takeover that feels modern, recognizable, and well suited to the energy of the casino floor. The coordinated color palette, graphic style, and animated signage allow the full display system to read as one festive New Year’s environment.

Lunar New Year (Gold Coin Bloom)

Lunar New Year gives the installation a seasonal celebration designed for the full ceiling and column system.

The overhead display provides the larger festive canvas, using graphic depth, motion, and celebratory visual language to create a bold seasonal takeover. The columns support the moment with vertical movement, color, and complementary details that carry the same holiday atmosphere throughout the aisle.

To give the piece longevity across multiple years, the creative includes the full range of Chinese zodiac icons, including the tiger, rabbit, snake, and other zodiac animals. This allows the content to remain relevant from one Lunar New Year celebration to the next without requiring a completely new visual approach.

The piece follows the same architectural logic as the rest of the system. The ceiling delivers the primary impact, while the columns extend the celebration through the physical space.

American Summer

American Summer, also developed as Summer in Motion, creates a stylized seasonal journey across Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day.

The ceiling becomes a sky canvas, shifting through warm summer tones, patriotic energy, fireworks, ribbons, stars, and end-of-summer light. The columns act as sculptural vertical elements, using stars, ribbon forms, sparkle, and parallax to connect the holiday environment from overhead to eye level.

The direction avoids feeling overly literal. Instead, it uses red, white, blue, metallic stars, fabric-like ribbon movement, light trails, fireworks, and warm haze to create an elevated seasonal experience that feels polished and immersive.

Branded Transitions

A coordinated series of custom transitions gives the content system a polished, branded way to move between videos. Each uses a distinct visual treatment while maintaining continuity across the overhead display and column wraps.

Silk Transition: Red silk ripples and shimmers across the displays with soft, elegant movement.

→ Bloom Transition: A branded Resorts World New York City pattern blooms outward and spreads across the installation.

Particle Transition: Illuminated particles spin across the screens with motion inspired by slot reels.

Together, these transitions help the installation feel like a thoughtfully programmed experience rather than a playlist of unrelated content. They create clean connections between pieces while reinforcing the Resorts World New York City brand through color, pattern, texture, and motion.

A Flexible Content Ecosystem

The strength of this project is the way every piece plays a specific role.

Some videos create cinematic look-up moments. Some are calming ambient environments. Some support seasonal programming. Others help the content system transition cleanly from one world to the next.

Across all of them, the creative approach remains consistent. The ceiling delivers the hero experience. The columns extend the environment into the guest’s physical space. Together, they create a connected digital signage system that feels custom to the property and comfortable for the casino floor.

For Resorts World New York City, the new LED installation became more than a display upgrade. It became a flexible storytelling platform for the only casino in New York City.

PreVisualization

Because the installation combines a long overhead LED display with six circular column wraps across an active casino aisle, previsualization was an essential part of the creative process. The content needed to feel connected across multiple display formats while also working within the scale, sightlines, and architecture of the gaming floor.

To accurately plan each piece, we recreated the casino environment in 3D, including the slot machines, column wraps, overhead display, and surrounding floor layout. The content was then mapped directly onto these virtual screens, allowing the team to evaluate how the ceiling and columns would work together before final production.

This process made it possible to test perspective, scale, pacing, visual continuity, and the relationship between overhead hero moments and supporting column content. It was especially valuable for forced-perspective scenes, where the illusion depends on precise alignment with the physical environment and the viewer’s position.

The 3D model also helped us understand how each experience would read from different locations throughout the aisle. By previewing the complete installation rather than reviewing each screen independently, we could refine the content as one connected system and make more informed creative decisions before it reached the casino floor.
