World Wide Technology

World Wide Technology’s (WWT) office sits in One Manhattan West, a new, sought-after 67-story mixed-use building in the heart of New York City. We had the exciting opportunity to work with their team to create digital art to greet visitors and enhance the daily experience for employees. Two large LED walls with corner wraps were being designed into the new reception area, along with a wide concave LED wall in a sitting area located across the office.

WWT asked us to create 3D content that could fulfill two distinct needs. One installation needed to bring a sense of calm into the space, while the other needed to introduce a strong visual narrative that reflected their innovation and scale.

The Concept

We designed two immersive experiences that worked in harmony with the space. One focused on the atmosphere. The other focused on storytelling. Together, they bring depth, clarity, and purpose to WWT’s office.

Digital Aquarium

We partnered closely with the WWT creative team to craft a fully bespoke digital aquarium – an underwater world designed from the seabed up. Every element was intentionally selected together: from the species of fish gliding through the scene, to the exact hues of coral that would best complement the reception area’s architecture. The result is a living, breathing digital habitat tailored to the space itself. Techoration at its finest!

To heighten the illusion, the two LED walls were choreographed in perfect sync. Schools of fish seamlessly swim from one display to the other, crossing the physical gap between screens by slipping through a digitally sculpted rock tunnel – a clever visual bridge that unifies what would otherwise feel like two separate tanks. Each wall also features a dual-camera viewpoint, allowing viewers to peer into the shorter side screens for an unexpected lateral look inside the aquarium, adding dimension and expanding the sense of immersion.

As a subtle storytelling detail, we embedded the WWT logo directly into the seafloor. Textured with weathered concrete, softened by sand, and encrusted with barnacles, it appears as though it’s been resting there for decades – an underwater Easter egg waiting to be discovered by anyone who looks closely enough.

The result? This immersive underwater experience transformed their office space into a serene escape from the bustling city streets outside.

Infrastructure Flythrough

We set out to create a high-impact “fly-through” experience that didn’t just showcase WWT’s cutting-edge IT solutions – but let viewers feel them. Built as a cinematic journey, the piece invites audiences to step inside WWT’s world of innovation, scale, and technical mastery.

The story begins high above Manhattan, perched atop One Manhattan West – the striking 67-story tower that houses WWT’s New York office. From this vantage point, the camera makes a bold, Mission-Impossible-style descent along the shimmering glass exterior, setting the tone for the journey ahead. As we reach street level, we slip seamlessly through the lobby doors and into a near-future WWT command center – a space alive with data visualizations, holographic interfaces, and the quiet hum of purposeful activity.

From there, the visual narrative dives deeper. We move through canyon-like server racks, following streams of data as they pulse through the system. This path leads us into a vast “mothership” environment – an architectural metaphor for convergence, where all information comes together in a single, powerful core. In the final crescendo, that data bursts upward, dissolving into a field of stars. It’s an imaginative metaphor for the future of cloud storage – data not stored on Earth, but released into the cosmos.

Every detail of the journey was crafted to reflect WWT’s scale, clarity, and forward-thinking vision. And the ultra-wide concave LED canvas gave us the perfect stage to deliver this sweeping, cinematic experience – one that feels as expansive and imaginative as WWT’s capabilities themselves.

The Execution

Throughout production, our team worked closely with WWT to ensure the content supported the physical office space. The multi-screen aquarium was carefully timed so the visuals flowed seamlessly across all displays, creating a fully immersive experience. For the flythrough, we focused on composition, pacing, and lighting to ensure every detail remained clear and impactful on the wide-format screens.

Both pieces were built to become an integral part of WWT’s daily workflow. Every animation was carefully executed to enhance the physical space without distracting from it.

Why It Worked

These installations turn the LED displays into functional elements of the workspace. The aquarium brings a sense of calm into a high-energy setting. The flythrough delivers a strong visual story that helps visitors understand WWT’s work the moment they enter.

Together, the two pieces create a balanced environment that feels thoughtful and consistent with WWT’s identity. The result is a space that feels more complete, intentional, and connected to the people who use it every day.
